the world's new with you

1230 in the afternoon and I walked into a room lighted with scented candles and smelled sweetly of potpourri, and my chinese-looking boy smiling his cheeky smile, looking at his very best. My heart beating faster as he nudged me to open the cupboard where I saw the most perfect Pull&Bear sweater I selfishly reserved with no money a few days before and his new Zara shoes I haphazardly tried to salvage its presentation with a simple red ribbon. We ate take-out food he bought too much of while watching Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi teach us lessons on being ourselves and making our own decisions and fed each other cupcakes that were too delicious to be eaten neatly. We rented DVDs, sang our hearts out (atleast I did) along to Grease's groovy tunes and totally bummed ourselves out with the other movies only to pig out on cup noodles we bought at the 7-11 nearby where we couldn't understand a word the cashier lady was saying about her daughter being indecent but we're nice enough to nod and laugh politely where ever appropriate. And then I fell asleep in his arms after remembering how the day was tossed together in perfect harmony, making it to be one of the days I want to remember, Forever.
